Harry Potter Studio Tour London

Yesterday, 18th September the bf and I FINALLY went to the Harry Potter studios in London! It was honestly one of the best days so I thought I'd share some photos with you for today's post!

P.s please forgive me for the terrible quality of photos as I only took my phone with me because I've lost my camera.. oops. Enjoy!

Of course I had to buy a t-shirt?!

I'll only share a few photos from my day there as I don't want to show too much for people who haven't been or are planning to go. I would definitely recommend going if you're a big Harry Potter fan. You can get all the details for how to book here

Let me know if you've been, what was your favourite part?

Thanks for reading .. or should I say looking!

l'oreal hydra genius aloe water | review

L'oreal Hydragenius Aloe Water.

I've seen so many people rave about this moisturiser and honestly I thought it was just going to be another basic moisturiser and nothing special. However .. I bought a magazine a while back and they had a sample of this stuck to one of the pages so obviously I tried it and I was not disappointed!

L'oreal Hydragenius Aloe Water.

Obviously in a sample packet you don't get a lot of product maybe two or three pumps and that's pretty much it. Although the amount of product inside the sample was able to cover my face twice fully which I loved! So when I saw this out in the stores in Boots I had to buy the full bottle! I think it's usually priced at £9.99 however every now and then they put it on offer and currently it's on sale for £6.66 which you can get
online or in stores!

L'oreal Hydragenius Aloe Water.

So it's a very thin gel-like consistency and almost feels wet. I usually do three pumps in my hand rub them together and then just put it all over my face. It absorbs almost instantly and soaks into the skin and it feels amaaaaazing! It leaves my skin feeling so refreshed, hydrated and super super soft. I leave my moisturiser in the fridge so when I use it, it's cool and refreshing and definitely a top tip for the summer to help with sun burns.

I definitely think it's worth the hype and I will continue to repurchase. I'm already on my second bottle and half way through that already, oops!

Let me know if you've tried this and what your thoughts are, I'd love to know! Thanks for reading.

make up revolution palette collection | courtneyleighblogs

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palettes.
Recently I've been loving these eyeshadow palettes from Makeup Revolution so I thought I'd share them with you. I originally got these palettes from the 12 Days Of Christmas Box that Makeup Revolution brought out last Christmas.

Makeup Revolution palettes.

So inside the christmas box, you got three eyeshadow palettes and these are the palettes that I got. So I got the Night Shimmers palette, The Matte 18 EDIT and the Matte Forecast Edit 2017. As these were sold within the box I don't actually think you can buy these separately now which is a shame however, Makeup Revolution do very similar palettes that I'm sure will have similar sorts of shades.
Makeup Revolution Night Shimmers.
Probably my favourite palette out of all 3 palettes is the Night Shimmers palette. It's full of gorgeous warm shimmery tones which are perfect for the autumn season now approaching. The shimmers are also insanely pigmented which is amazing considering the price of their palettes.

Makeup Revolution Matte 18 Edit.

This matte palette is also incredible its full off very light buildable shades and the ultra dark shades too which makes it a perfect palette for that everyday basic use. There's also an amazing selection of colours for every skin tone for defining the crease.

Makeup Revolution Matte Forecast Edit 2017.

This palette is very similar to the previous palette, however this palette adds a little bit more colour to shades than the previous one. I love the orange / brown shades in this palette I think they just add a little something more to an everyday basic look. This palette really does have a little something for everyone for an everyday basis.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you've tried anything from Makeup Revolution. I'm eager to try more of their products!

holler and glow polishes | courtneyleighblogs

Holler and Glow Baby Unicorn, Self Made and Rogue Mermaid.

Hi guys!

Every post I say I'm going to get back into blogging again then I just give up and leave it for months. HOWEVER, I'm determined to stick to it this time! So what better 'come back' post than a nail polish one?

I've always got my nails painted, I just can't stand plain nails! Usually the brand I'll reach for is Barry M, however lately, all I've been reaching for are these Holler And Glow polishes.

Holler And Glow is a brand recently been added to Primark and I believe is exclusive only to Primark. It's a super affordable brand and all their products are sooooo cute, you honestly can't go wrong.

The three shades I've been LOVING lately, are these three in the photo above, in the shades Baby Unicorn, Self Made and Rogue Mermaid. First of, can we talk about how cute the shade names are? Like who doesn't love a unicorn and mermaid.

Baby Unicorn, Self Made, Rogue Mermaid.

Baby Unicorn is my favourite nail polish to put over the top of a bold bright colour to add a little sparkle. It's a super clear glittery shimmer shade and can add that little something extra to any colour. Self Made is the shade I've been wearing the most recently, it's such a gorgeous shade. In some lights its a bold shimmering gold and under a different light it has an undertone of rose gold, it's absolutely gorgeous. Finally my first Holler And Glow purchase is the shade Rogue Mermaid. This colour is stunning, at first glance it looks like a shimmery blue then when caught in the light it has undertones of purple and green. Perfect for that holographic look.

Have you tried anything from Holler And Glow? Let me know what your favourites were!

Lottie London Shadow Swatch - The Rusts.

I'm a huge Lottie London crusher, I just think all their products are super quirky and cute. Especially the packaging! I used to always eye of the Lottie London products in my local Superdrug store whenever I went in there, however after watching Emily Canham's video on youtube of her trying Lottie London products, I was sold! You can watch Emily's video here

Lottie London Shadow Swatch - The Rusts.

The one thing I was really eager to try out was the eyeshadow palettes. The one I was excited to try was the Rose Golds palette but it wasn't available in local store so I opted for The Rusts palette.

Lottie London - The Rusts shadows.

There's a lot of cool tones in this palette which I love because I'm not the most confident person when it comes to eyeshadow so I thought this palette would be perfect to practice with. My favourite shades from this palette are the shimmer shades. They are absolutely stunning and they're so pigmented!

Lottie London The Rusts Shimmer Swatches.

Some of the matte shades aren't as pigmented as I'd want them too be however they are buildable which is fine for me because I can work on making my eyeshadow better. My favourite matte shade is the orange shade (lauren) it's so cute and makes my eye colour pop so much.

I think I have a slight obsession when it comes to Barry M nail polishes. The Gelly Hi-Shine nail polishes from Barry M are personally my favourite polishes from Barry M as I love the look of a gel finished nail polish and I feel like these polishes last the longest on my nails. However, the Speedy polishes are also a favourite of mine if I need to paint my nails but need them in a quick amount of time as the dry up so so quick which is perfect.

Barry M Masquerade, Prickly Pear, Laguna, Pomegrante, Mango, Black Cherry.

The Coconut Infusion polishes are also very good because not only do they make my nails look super cute but they also make my nails healthier and stronger as they are infused with coconut oil, and all these polishes are under £5 which is amazing!

Barry M Masquerade, Rose Hip, Prickly Pear, Passion Fruit, Mango.

These are all the polishes I own from Barry M and I hope to add more colours to this collection as I just love them so so much! What's your favourite shade? Let me know!

how I create my face | courtneyleighblogs

I thought it was about time I wrote an updated face of the day post as I feel like my routine has changed a little bit, so I thought I'd share it with you. You can read my old 'face of the day' routine here, enjoy!

Products I use daily.

To start off with, the first thing I will always do is moisturise, I use the same moisturiser everyday and that is the Nivea Refreshingly Soft moisturiser and then to protect my skin from the sun I then go on top with the Ps Beach Protect Mattifying face cream. This leaves my skin with a nice glow however, it can be quite sticky which is why I use this product as a primer and it works perfectly fine.

Nivea soft moisturiser, Ps Beach Protect sunscreen.

For my foundation, I've recently fell back in love with the L'Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation, I started to re-use this a few weeks ago and I've fell in love with all over again. I'd say it was full coverage foundation as it covers all my blemishes and it stays on for a very long time. To conceal and lighten areas of my face I use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, this is a staple concealer in my collection and is the one concealer I reach back for every time. To set all the areas I concealed I use the MUA Skin Define Hydro Powder, I used to use the Rimmel Stay Matte powder however I much prefer this MUA powder, it's super lightweight and doesn't look cakey when I top up throughout the day to cover any oilyness.

To bronze up and highlight my face I use 3 different products which seems obsessive but I swear its nothing major. For a cream bronzer I use the Ps Conturing Palette from Primark, as you can see it's pretty obvious what shade I use, I just use this add a bit of colour into my face, I also think this makes my powder bronzer stick a little better too. I then go in with the bronze shade 'Caramel Kiss' from the Tanya Burr Beautifully Defined Palette and just add a little more colour over the cream bronzer. Then to add a little pop of highlight, this alters from day to day depending on how glam I want to go, most of the time I will just use the shimmer shade 'champagne shimmer' from the same Tanya Burr palette.. If I want to add a little more pop I will use my Sleek Solstice Palette

To finish off my face, I do my eyebrows last, I'm no where near expert material when it comes to doing my eyebrows, I only ever fill them in just to make them a little more defined. I use the Makeup Revolution HD Pro Brow Palette to fill them in as I feel like this palette has a lot of variations of shades and powder / creams to chose from. I only ever use the top left powder to fill my brows in as I find this is the lightest shade to match my natural colour and the easiest to blend out.

After all this is done, I just go over my whole face with the MUA powder just to set everything in place and they spray my face with a setting spray. At the moment, the setting spray I've been using is the Kiko Make Up Fixer Spray. This one feels like I'm spraying hairspray or something on my face, it's not a liquid setting spray that I was expecting it to be. However I love this one because it's not sticky and I don't have to wait for it to dry.

This is how I create my face daily, or on most days when I can be bothered to make an effort. Let me know if you've used any of these products or what products you'd recommend, I'd love to know! Thanks for reading!

intergalactic, golden egg lush products | courtneyleighblogs

My recent visit to Lush
I feel like whenever I take a visit to my local Lush store I always have to come and share what I bought even if it's like one thing. This time I bought two things and I'm so super excited about them that I had to share them.

Intergalactic bath bomb and Golden Egg bath bomb melt.
So the two things I purchased this time where of course more bath bombs. One I've already bought before and loved so much and a new one that I've seen all over Instagram / Facebook so much recently that I just HAD to try it. So the bath bomb I repurchased was the Intergalactic bomb. I bought this one not long ago and absolutely loved it so obviously I had to repurchase it. The second bath bomb that I purchased which I was SO excited about was the Golden Egg bomb. I have seen this everywhere just lately and it looked amazing so I needed it!

Intergalactic Lush bath bomb.

I think the Intergalactic bath bomb might be my favourite bath bomb from Lush that I've tried. I just love the way it leaves my bath looking and LOVE the smell of peppermint that floats around the bathroom once it's in the bath. Honestly I think I loved it so much purely for the glitter, however if you haven't tried this one I would totally recommend it!

Golden Egg Lush bath bomb.

So this is my show stopper, the one I've been most excited about trying and it's this gorgeous Golden Egg smothered in gold glitter flakes. There's so much glitter on this bath bomb that the second you touch it, everything on you and around you is covered in glitter, which I'm not going to complain about because I love glitter. However, I can see how that turns people away. I tried this bath bomb the night I got it because I couldn't wait and it's amazing! I think the lady in Lush said that the bomb contained cocoa butter which fits the easter thing amazingly but most importantly it left my skin feeling AMAZING. I'd shaved my legs in the bath because I feel like you can't really appreciate how soft your legs are unless they're freshly shaved. So when I got out, they felt amazing!! I'm pretty sure I sat there and just felt my legs for a good 10 minutes, I think I even got my boyfriend to feel them at one point because they felt so good. The only downside is the amount of glitter that gets stuck at the bottom of your bath but once again I'm not going to complain because I love it!

What are your favourite bath bombs or your favourite products from Lush? I'd love to know!

barry m nails ; spring edition design | courtneyleighblogs

Hiya lovelies,

having freshly painted nails is something I appreciate so much, so when I actually sit down and make the effort to make them look pretty I feel like it needs to be shared. I'm no nail artist so my nails never look amazing but I do like to try and make them look pretty or at least some what cute, so I thought I'd show you how I've done my nails and what shades I used.

My nails have never ever been long and I don't think they ever will. They grow to a certain length, go flimsy and then break. However, they're doing well at the moment (I say well like they're really long), and I thought I'd paint them cute pastel colours as we're coming up to spring / easter. So for my thumb, 3rd finger and pinky I used the Barry M Gelly nail varnish in the shade Prickly Pear. I love these shade and is usually my go - to shade whenever I want something quick and cute. It's such a beautiful pastel-ish shade of purple and super cute for spring. On my 2nd finger I used the same Gelly nail varnish but in the shade Rose Hip. In the bottle this colour looks like a gorgeous very pale pink, almost the colour of a strawberry milkshake, however when applied it's pretty much white. I mean it's not blinding white, but it's definitely not the shade of pink in the bottle which is annoying but it's still cute nevertheless. Finally, for my 4th finger I used the Coconut Infusion nail polish from Barry M in the shade Laguna. I think this was my first ever Barry M nail polish I bought and I fell in love with it. I love the coconut infused polishes because they care for your nails as well as make them look cute, win win.

As a top coat to make sure they don't chip I used the Barry M Plumpy Topcoat. This just makes the nails look extra shiny and look more like a gel than just a basic nail polish.

This was just a little post to share my nails with you because I take pride in when they look cute. Have any of you tried the Barry M polishes? What are your favourites, let me know!

5 go - to movies | courtneyleighblogs

top 5 go - to movies.

I'm a huge movie lover, so when it comes to a Sunday, throwing on my pyjamas, putting the heating on, grabbing loads of junk food and putting on a movie is my favourite thing to do. Typically I always go for the same films over and over again so I though I'd share with you my top 5 go to films. Enjoy!

Girl on the train, Me before you, Bridget Jones's baby, Legend, Bridget Jones's Diary

Been waiting on this film for what seems like forever after reading the book and it didn't disappoint. If you haven't heard about this film, you definitely need to know about it, it's so so good! I found the film a little hard to follow at first because of how much it jumps back and forth from flashbacks / time differences etc. I would definitely recommend reading the book beforehand though as the book is amazing and makes it a little easier to follow.

LOVE this film. Although it's a heart string puller it's still one of the best films I've seen. It's a soppy loving film but it's got the quirky humour side throughout it which is why it's such a good film. Definitely keeps you hooked the whole way through. And my boyfriend likes this film so it must be a good one.

If you're an ultimate Bridget lover like me then you NEED this film in your life. I waited so long for this film to come out and I don't think I'd ever been so excited for a film to come out. This in my opinion is definitely my favourite Bridget Jones film, it's so funny and the ending! Ah I was so shocked at the ending but it was such a good ending to a film which is rare for me to say because I usually moan about endings being rubbish. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I don't know why I like this film so much, I'm usually against violence films but I think I must've watched this film like 50 times. It's such a good film and the way Tom Hardy plays both the brothers is such a clever idea. Definitely isn't one I'd recommend if you're not into the violent type of films but if you like action and an intense film then I'd definitely go and watch this.

Ultimate chick flick fav. I've honestly lost count on how many times I've watched this film, one of those film that no matter how many times I watch it I'll never get bored of it. Definitely one of those films I turn to if i want cheering up or if I'm having a 'meh' day. The film that blossomed the love for all things Bridget Jones and big 'bridget underwear!'.

A short little post today as I've been feeling rough the last few days and dvd's had become my bestfriends. Let me know what your favourite movies are, I'd love to know! Thank you for reading!
