May favourites | courtslm

So it literally felt like I was sat here typing up my April favourites two minutes ago but here we are a month later! I've tried some new things this month so I will share what I have been loving.
I've been loving two different sets of shampoo and conditioner this month. The first set that I bought was the L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Luminiser High Shine shampoo and conditioner. I bought this set a few weeks ago because I was going on holiday to Centre Parcs and knew I'd end up washing my hair loads because of swimming and the hot tub ect so my hair would be dry and dull. I don't know if it's made my hair shiner but it does make my hair feel weightless and super soft which is what I love about it. It saved my hair from the chlorine and harsh water and left it feeling super soft. My boyfriend also stole the shampoo too on holiday because it made his hair smell 'nice'! All in all I love it and would highly recommend!

The next set of hair products I've been loving is the Matrix Total Results So Long Damage shampoo and conditioner. I bought this because I recently had my hair ombré by my sister and she used this set to wash out the dye and bleach. Honestly, it left my hair feeling amazing like I hadn't even just dyed my hair. My sister is a hairdresser and really recommended these as she uses them all the time and her hair is so much better once she's used it so I went for it. The products restore all the proteins in your hair that had been lost through heat / dye damage which is perfect!

The next thing I bought was this face mask from LUSH, Brazened Honey mask. I actually had a lady who worked these sit me down and compare two different face masks on the back of my hand after I told her what I was looking for and I actually ended up choosing this mask over the one I would've bought myself. Although I'm not a huge lover on the scent it does leave my face feeling amazing. It's also a mask you leave in the fridge so when you apply it to your face it's super cool and refreshing. It also has almond shells in it which help to exfoliate your skin which I love doing! It also leaves your face brightened and soft which is a win win for me in a face mask.

I picked up this concealer along side the Master Sculpt set because Superdrug had a 2 for £10 offer on so I couldn't resist! I always see people rave about the Maybelline Instant Anti-Age The Eraser Eye concealer so I thought I'd give it a go. I usually use the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer under my eyes but this Maybelline one is so so light and weightless compared to the Collection one which I love! It also blends super easily and brightens my under eyes so well. I wouldn't say it was a high coverage concealer but you could build on it if you wanted to hide blemishes but I feel like it mainly is just for under your eyes.

Maybelline Master Sculpt

I'm not actually a huge lover of contouring ( purely because I'm awful at make up ) but I thought I'd get this as I've been really eager to try contouring and this palette honestly doesn't fail. It defines my cheekbones so well and blends super well. It comes with a little brush and compact mirror underneath the shades which is really handy. I use the little brush to apply the lines of contouring and then I go in with a bigger brush and blend it all out with that. I'm not a huge lover of the highlight I have a better one inside my Revoultion set but the contour shade is amazing and I love it!

Striped Wide Shoulder Sweater

And the last thing I bought was this striped slouch sweater from H&M. I bought this purely because I didn't have any nice sweaters or jumpers to take with me and English weather being the way it is I had to pack for hot and cold temperatures so I grabbed this. It's SO soft and comfortable and I love it! I actually might go back and buy the maroon coloured one they have as well. It's so easy to just throw on with leggings or jeans and looks super cute. And it was only £9.99 so who can complain?!

That was everything for this post, I hope you enjoyed it, thanks for reading!!

Everyday make - up | courtslm

Im forever reading people's blog posts about their everyday make up so I thought I'd share with you the make up I use everyday. I don't take a lot of time on my make up purely because I don't have the talent or patience but I look dead without it so I have to wear some. So that is what I'll share with you, I hope you like it!
First off, I always moisturise my face, always always always! To moisturise my face I use the Nivea Refreshingly Soft Moisturising Cream. It includes Jojoba oil and vitamin e which are both amazing for the skin. I just dot this around my face and rub it in using my hands, it leaves my face feeling super soft and hydrated and is also really lightweight!

For foundation I've been loving the L'Oreal Infalliable 24-Hr Matte foundation in the shade 11 Vanilla. I heard so many people rave about this foundation so decided to give it a go considering I always get an oily t-zone. This foundation is amazing!! It's a super lightweight foundation and turns to matte so quickly. It's saved me from my oilyness around my face and keeps me matte all day. I honestly think I've found my holy grail foundation. It's super easy to blend also and once it's blended it honestly feels like I have nothing on my face. To blend it in I use my flat top brush from the brand Bestope, these brushes are honestly amazing and super cheap from Amazon.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

To tackle my dark under eye circles and any blemishes I may have I use my holy grail concealer which is the Collection Lasting Perfection. I have this in the lightest shade they do simply because I want my under eyes to be bright and because I'm the palest person ever and everything else is too dark! This concealer is super easy to blend and manages to cover and conceal all the areas I need it to. All in all this concealer is pretty good for what it does and it's super cheap so who's complaining? To blend this in I use my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge.

To set my concealer in my place I will quickly just go in with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the translucent shade. This just makes sure that my concealer doesn't move all day and I'm kept looking awake. It's a really good quality powder and doesn't leave my face looking or feeling cakey. To apply this I just use my round top brush from my Bestope collection.

To give my face some colour I then go in with my Revolution Sculpt and Contour Trio in the lightest shade. I found this a few weeks back in my local Superdrug and it was like £3 so I couldn't ignore it. The colours are so pigmented and blend so easily I honestly love it and for £3 I think I can honestly say I'll repurchase once I hit pan. I just use the bronzer to add some colours to cheeks and forehead just to give my face a little bit more colour and to make me look more awake. It stays on all day without having to touch up which I love! To apply this I use my angled fluffy brush from Bestope.

Once my base is all done I just go and curl my eyelashes using my basic eyelash curlers and apply my mascara. For mascara I use two because I like the length one gives me but volume for the other. First I go in my Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. I have a love hate relationship with this mascara because I like the product just not the brush so I always swap the brush for another one of mine. But other than that I do like it for the volume it gives my eyelashes and does make them super black.

Barry M That's How I Roll

Once my coat of Maybelline Lash Sensational is dry I will then go and apply this Barry M mascara over the top. I feel like by applying this mascara on top of my already dried mascara it makes my eyelashes so much fuller and longer and the brush is perfect for separating my lashes and stopping them from clumping up. I probably couldn't use either of them by themselves but together they work perfectly!

That's everything for this post, I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you use any of these products! Thanks for reading!

April favourites | courtslm

April came and went so quick I feel like I blinked and if was over but anyways I thought I'd share with you a few items that I've been loving in the month of April. I've tried a few new items this month so I'm excited to share them with you!

I've seen so many people rave about the L'Oreal Paris Infallible make up collection but I had never got round to trying it until mid April. I would say I have combination skin, my cheeks and forehead are quite normal / dry but then my t zone can tend to get oily throughout the day but this foundation stopped that!! I got the shade 11 Vanilla and thought it would be too dark for me because I meant to pick up Porcelain but this was perfect. For a full coverage foundation I thought it would be quite thick and heavy on the skin but as soon as I put it on my face it was so light and soft and honestly feels like I'm wearing nothing which I love. It blends so easily and I don't have to worry about powdering my face for the whole day because it stays matte for ages. It's such a good foundation and I'm sure I'll be repurchasing once I run out.

Makeup Revolution Pro Fixing Spray

I've been loving is this Make - Up Revolution Amazing Make Up Fixing Spray. I spray this on my brushes and sponge before blending out foundation or concealer to make sure it sets them in place all day and it works fine. I then spray it over my face once I'm finished. It doesn't leave a sticky feeling on your face like most setting sprays I've tried which is amazing because I hate that tacky feeling. It's really lightweight as well so it doesn't leave your face looking wet or shiny. For £5 I can't complain and it does what it says on the bottle so win win!

Silicone Brush Egg

I've wanted to buy one of these eggs for so long but never got round to doing it then I had a mid life crisis when my brushes were horrible and quickly cleaning them wasn't doing anything. So I went on Amazon and purchased one. I think it was like £2/3 which is amazing for what wonders it does. It has honestly saved my brushes, they looked brand new once they had been cleaned with this. I just wet the brush put of soap onto the brush egg and just swirl the brushes around until all the make up has been removed and they're done. It's such a quick and simple job and using this made it more enjoyable because of how much product I saw come out of my brushes. It's quite gross actually but never mind they're clean now! So yeah I would highly recommend.

Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shaving Balm

I've lost count on how many bloggers and youtubers i have seen mention this shaving balm in tutorials so I just had to get one for myself. This is such a popular product because its designed for products to stick to it which is why so many people rave about using it as a primer. I personally don't see what the hype about it is but they may be because I haven't been using it for long but the few times I've used it, it hasn't done wonders so I'm quite disappointed, however I will continue to use it to see if my opinion changes!!

That's everything for this post, I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading!!
